1903 Adix Adding Machine. Original model.
The original Adix (1903) has a heavy base plate and was sold in a grained leather brown wooden box (15x8x2 cm). The company's name is written in Gothic script and bears the words "Mannheim". The calculator consists of 122 parts and for the first time in a computing machine uses parts made of aluminum. A feature of this model of the Adix is the asymmetrically arranged counter.[^http://www.rechenwerkzeug.de/adixevol.htm[Die Adix]^]
